Program Description: Young Musicians is a one/two-week
residential music summer program designed for young musicians (7-15
years old) who are either just going to start out playing and singing,
or for more experienced ones who are honing their craft. It will provide
a nurturing environment for performing through the individual guidance
and support of professional artist-educators.
Each day will consist of morning and afternoon guitar, keyboard and
vocal instructions that involves a hands-on approach, ensemble/band
performances, and evening concerts.
Daily activities will include swimming on the private beach on Georgian
Bay or in water park "The Plunge". Other activities such
as tennis, volleyball, soccer, campfires and game nights, evening
talent shows, parties, competitions will be organized on a daily basis.
Location and Housing: Located
at the base of Blue Mountain/Georgian Bay Ontario's premiere resort
on private and secure countryside.
Students will be living in a comfortable European-style chalet. There
is a dining hall with a large wood burning brick fireplace, cable
television, large deck with view of Blue Mountain, 2 bathrooms with
shower, sauna. There are 8 bedrooms, one to four beds per room. Students
will be housed by sex and age.

Instructions and Supervision: Music Instructions and Workshops will be led by professional artist-educators.
Students will be supervised by resident assistants: experienced teachers
and college students with a major or strong interest in the arts.
Registration Information and Payment Policy:
The fee for one session (7day program). Music instruction and meals
are included in the fee.
$389 plus tax - for students enrolled in the programs music &
art school ORANTA.
$29 - three 1-day passes to "The
Plunge" water park.
$475 plus tax - for other applicants
One day bonus in between the sessions for students enrolled in 2 sessions
