Welcome to ORANTA Music & Art School
For over 10 years, we have served Toronto with the best music education, with the help of Ontario qualified music instructors, teachers and artists. We have several locations spanning the Etobicoke, Mississauga, and the York (Thornhill) area. Partnered with the Toronto Catholic District School Board, as well as the York Region District School Board, we strive to give students the best education. We have classes for all age (children, teens) and experience levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced).
Music Programs
We offer individual and group instruction in piano, keyboard, guitar, bass, drums, vocal, music history, and theory. For the more experienced musicians, we recommend joining a band or ensemble. We teach many styles of music in an effort to give students an unbiased look at music. Classical, Jazz, Pop, Rock , Country and many other styles are explored in our classrooms. We equip our students with the best skills in performance, sight reading, and theoretical understanding. This helps them to progress on their way to becoming accomplished musicians. We are also associated with the RCM and do regular test preparation for our students who are enrolled in the RCM Examinations.
Visual Arts Program
Our art program is designed to give students a taste of the main art areas - drawing, painting, sculpture, collage and printmaking in conjunction with basic knowledge of history and theory and on four central ideas - developing creativity, communicating, understanding culture, and making connections. Students will have first hand experience with drawing and painting techniques such as shading, highlighting, color perspective, pattern and value. Students will have access to an array of different tools and supplies including instruction on how to properly use pencil, pen, ink, watercolor and acrylic paint, scratchboard, pastel and charcoal.
